On Monday, June 4th, New York State approved Rondout Valley Central School District’s $1,251,369 spending plan for upgrading and expanding our Technology Infrastructure. This plan calls for upgrading and expanding the district’s computer network and results in full wireless connectivity in all schools.

Information for Public Schools Regarding Changes in Health Examination and Screening Requirement Effective 7/1/2018 - Section 136.3 regarding Health Examinations and Screenings will change. The new regulations for health examinations for attendance will be required for new entrants and in grades Pre-K or K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11.

Rondout Valley Central School District is now accepting Facility Requests through an online portal. Users will need to register, and can then submit facility requests.

The 2018-2019 school calendar was approved on April 18, 2018 by the Board of Education.

Petitions nominating candidates for the office of member of the Board of Education of the Rondout Valley Central School District will be available online at Rondout.k12.ny.us and at the District Office, Kyserike Road, Accord, beginning on Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

Kindergarten Registration dates for September 2018 have been announced for Kerhonkson and Marbletown Elementary Schools.

In a unanimous vote held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, the Rondout Valley Board of Education appointed Dr. Joseph G. Morgan as its next superintendent of schools.

First and foremost, thank you for supporting our students, staff, and entire educational community during my tenure as Superintendent of Schools. As a community we have always tackled challenges collectively and effectively.

We continue to practice a variety of safety drills with our students and staff including lockout and lockdown on a regular basis.

The beauty of rural living abounds throughout the towns served by the Rondout Valley Central School District. Mountain vistas, meandering streams, and family farms are common throughout the District, which serves the Ulster County towns of Rochester, Marbletown, Rosendale, and Wawarsing. But don’t let the quaint appeal of these agriculturally based towns fool you into thinking our community is isolated.

Our new weather station, the Rondout Valley WeatherSTEM, funded by a “Bullet Aid Grant” from Assembly member Cahill, is now live!

We welcome our new SRO, Deputy Wilber to the District, who will be working with us for the 2017-2018 school year. We wish Deputy Tom Sharon the best as he begins his career as an SRO at the Onteora School District.
