Dear Rondout School Community:

On April 8th we used the last of our seven emergency closing days. At this time, we are monitoring a potential storm that may require the district to call another emergency closing day tomorrow, April 19. The State Education Department allows schools to pivot to remote learning if we have exhausted our emergency closing days and need to close school buildings for a day.

In the event of this potential storm making roadways unsafe, we will shift to remote learning. That decision will be made in the morning and sent out via SchoolMessenger and posted to our website and social media channels. In preparation for that possibility, teachers reminded students how to login to their Google Classroom to access lesson materials and gave them instructions on how to access their class zoom link.

Sincerely,

Joseph Morgan
Superintendent
