Dear Rondout Valley School District Community,

We have been notified today that two Junior High School students tested positive for COVID-19. One student was last in attendance on 3/11 and the other student was last in attendance on 3/18.  In accordance with the New York State Department of Health Toolkit and guidance from the Ulster County Department of Health, it has been determined that 25 students, 12 athletes, and 13 staff members are required to quarantine. Those that are required to quarantine have already been notified. 

 

Due to Junior High School staffing resources, we are transitioning the Junior High School [grades 7 & 8] to the Fully Remote Learning model tomorrow, Wednesday, 3/24. We will provide an update tomorrow.

 

Additionally, we learned today that one staff member at the Intermediate School tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member was last in attendance on 3/17. In accordance with the New York State Department of Health Toolkit and guidance from the Ulster County Department of Health, it has been determined that 3 staff members are required to quarantine. Those that are required to quarantine have already been notified.
