Face ShieldUpdate 4/4/20 RVCSD is proud to announce that the total number of face shields that have been printed using our 3D printers is up to 246! In collaboration with SUNY New Paltz, six of our staff members have been working diligently for over a week to print these face shields to assist with the PPE shortage for medical personnel in our area. Our efforts were assisted this week by the Arlington Teachers’ Association and the Arlington Central School District, who donated 5,000 transparency sheets which allowed us to continue assembling face shields with multiple sheets on each. The completed face shields have been and continue to be donated to area hospitals, nursing agencies, and other local agencies in need. Donation from Arlington 3/26/20 Six staff members from RVCSD, in collaboration with SUNY New Paltz, came together over the last few days to 3D print face shields to help out with the PPE shortage for medical personnel in our area. As of today, they have printed and assembled 62 face shields with 25 disposable sheets to go with each. They were printed using Rondout’s advanced 3D printing technology and are being donated to area hospitals in need.
