Dear Rondout School Community:

As we return to school for in-person instruction on Monday, January 3rd, we continue to practice a layered approach of mitigation strategies to keep our students and staff safe. Anyone entering our school buildings or riding on the buses must be fully masked. In classrooms students must maintain three feet of distance from other students and six feet in all other areas. Our custodial staff continues to sanitize surfaces throughout the buildings and we employ frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces. Prior to break and again today, Sunday January 2nd, we distributed test kits to families. Please follow the link below for instructions on how to administer the tests and what to do if your child tests positive.

If your child is experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 it is important that you DO NOT send them to school. This simple step protects their vulnerable classmates, teachers, and other school staff. If in doubt, please keep them home.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Regards,

Joseph Morgan

Superintendent
