Absentee Ballots

NOTE: Absentee Ballots are automatically sent to those registered as permanently disabled with the Ulster County Board of Elections and those towns in Marbletown, Rosendale, Rochester, Wawarsing which are part of the Rondout Valley Central School District. These ballots will be mailed the last week of April.

If you would like to vote in the May 16, 2023 Budget Vote and Election by Absentee ballot because:

  • If you will be out of the county,  have a temporary illness or physical disability a permanent illness or physical disability* 
  • duties related to primary care of the physically disabled
  • resident or patient of Veterans Health Administration hospital
  • detention in jail/prison, awaiting trial, awaiting action by a grand jury, or in prison for conviction of a crime or offense which was not a felony

Application for an absentee ballot needs to be received by 5:00 pm Tuesday, May 9, 2023 for a ballot to be mailed to you. (NYS Ed. Law §§ 2018-a(8), 2018-b(9))

Applications may also be picked up at the District Office, 122 Kyserike Road (3rd Street Entrance), Accord, NY between 8am and 4pm. You may complete the application and then be given an Absentee Ballot to complete while you are here. If you need special arrangements to complete the absentee ballot process please call 845-687-2400 ext. 4803.
