Members of the Kerhonkson Elementary School (KES) No Place for Hate (NPFH) Committee attended a ceremony at Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady on June 2. The committee was presented with a banner by the Anti-Defamation League to confirm that their school had met the requirements to be designated as a No Place for Hate School.
Rondout Valley hosted 13 Section 9 Class C and 12 Class D schools on Thursday, May 25, as they competed for their respective Championship titles. The Rondout girls emerged victorious, claiming the Section 9 Class C Championship, while the Rondout boys achieved an impressive 3rd place finish, showcasing a remarkable performance.

The Rondout Valley Central School District Board of Education awarded eight individuals with the annual Thomas King Distinguished Service Award at its May 23 meeting. This award identifies and acknowledges the outstanding contributions put forth by our staff and establishes a tradition of excellence.
This year, Rondout Valley High School (RVHS) will award the New York State Seal of Biliteracy to 20 graduating seniors. This is an accolade earned by students who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English and another World Language.
There is no question we are surrounded by natural splendor within the boundaries of our school and community. Many of these images have, no doubt, been captured by residents, visitors, part-time community members, artists, and students. As a school community, we would like to showcase these collective images in the 2023-2024 Rondout Valley District Calendar. Therefore, the Rondout Valley Central School District encourages student, amateur, and professional photographers to share the striking images they have captured within the district’s boundaries in this year’s Photo Contest.

Rondout Valley Junior High School inducted new members into the National Junior Honor Society on May 10. These students exemplify the organization's pillars of scholarship, service, character, citizenship, and leadership. They were presented with certificates of membership and pledged their commitment at a candle lighting ceremony led by Principal Victoria Saffioti and Assistant Principal Stephen Protoss. Superintendent Dr. Joseph Morgan was in attendance, along with proud family members and friends.
