RV Girls win Section 9 Class B Indoor Track Championship

Rondout Valley Girls win Section 9 Class B Indoor Track Championship. Rondout Boys take 3rd place.

Kayla Oakes and Jacqueline Kennedy led the Rondout team in scoring combining for 54 points. Kayla took 1st place in Long Jump and Triple Jump and added a 2nd place in High Jump. Jacqueline took 1st place in the 55 dash and 1st place in the 300 meter dash and broke the school record in that event. Jacqueline also added a 3rd place in the Long Jump.
 
Victoria DeGraw also broke the indoor shot put school record taking 2nd place in that event and adding a 4th place in the weight throw. Olivia Waruch added a 3rd place finish in the 600 and helped both 4 x 400 and 4 x 200 meter relays score. And 8th grader Greta Sutherland Roth took 3rd in the 3000 meter run.
 
The RV boys were led by jumpers Ryan Britt and Morgan LeBlanc and hurdler Chris Kay. Chris Kay won the 55 hurdle Championship and helped the 2nd place 4 x 400 relay. Britt took 2nd place in long jump and 3rd in triple while LeBlanc took 3rd in long, 4th in triple and 3rd in high jump. Pole vaulters Jackson Paley and Luke Kotsides took 3rd and 4th place each vaulting 10 feet. The boys also had two school records broken with Chris Jordan breaking the 3200 meter record by 13 seconds and Matt Peck breaking the weight throw record and a 4th place finish.
