RV Track Teams Excel!
The Rondout Valley Varsity Girls’ and Boys' Cross Country Teams had incredible seasons this fall!
The Rondout Valley Varsity Girls’ Cross Country Team had an incredible season, with victories at various locations, including NYC and Saratoga. They clinched the MHAL Small Schools Invitational title in October and delivered a strong performance at the MHAL Championship, producing three MHAL All Stars: Hannah Chapin (First Team), Gypsy Wish (Second Team), and Greta Sutherland-Roth (Third Team). At Sectionals, they secured 2nd place overall for Class C, with four athletes qualifying for the State Meet. The four State Qualifiers, Hannah Chapin, Gypsy Wish, Greta Sutherland-Roth and Lola Sherwood ran strong to cap off their highly successful 2023 season!
Our Varsity Boys’ Cross Country Team also wrapped up a fantastic 2023 season! Dual sport athlete Owen Shaffer-Sermini dominated, winning the MHAL Small School Invitational and earning a medal at Sectionals. Although narrowly missing a spot on the State team, Owen's achievements were impressive. The boys finished 5th overall at Sectionals, showcasing their talent. We are excited to see the accomplishments this young team achieves in the seasons to come!
