Meet The 24/25 Student BOE Representative

Meet Grace Curran, the Rondout Valley Central School District Board of Education (BOE) Student Representative! The Grade 12 student took her oath at the September 10 meeting.

As the Treasurer of the Student Congress, Grace applied and was interviewed by Principal Jessica Torok, along with past student representatives, for the role. She has goals and ideas she plans to pursue in her position, but mostly is excited to be present at the Board of Education meetings and to learn as much as she can. She looks forward to expressing the student point of view, and is grateful that the leadership has already asked for her input on topics at meetings. Grace is passionate about making the school as inclusive as possible, because that is a major topic at Student Congress and hopes to do so in her role as the BOE Student Representative!
