RVCSD to host Community Engagement Forum

The Rondout Valley Central School District will host a Community Engagement Forum on Grade Level Configuration on October 6 at 6:30 PM in the Rondout Valley High School Auditorium.

The district is continuing to examine moving Grade 4 students to Kerhonkson and Marbletown Elementary Schools as well as explore other long-term district-wide grade reconfigurations.

Last February, consultant Dr. Kevin Baughman began an external grade configuration study for Rondout Valley. Dr. Baughman brings more than 35 years of experience in education, with consulting expertise in strategic planning, student enrollment, administrative organization, and grade-level and building configuration. He will present information related to enrollment history and forecast, birthrates, building capacity, Grade 4 relocation implications, and other considerations.

The public will have an opportunity to ask questions. Families, staff, and community members are encouraged to attend the forum on October 6 and learn more about this ongoing process.
