RVHS Students Dive into W.I.S.E. and Seal of Biliteracy Programs

Rondout Valley High School students gathered on January 30 to learn more about two of the district’s most rigorous and rewarding programs.

Rondout Valley High School has many fantastic programs for students looking to challenge themselves with classes that require going above and beyond. On Friday January 30, students were able to learn more about two of these programs: the Wise Individualized Senior Experience (W.I.S.E.) program and the New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB).

The students who attended the W.I.S.E. Kickoff event took part in mini workshops covering interview techniques, how to do legitimate research, the economics of resources involved, and an introduction to journaling. For the Seal of Biliteracy Research Workshop, students learned about ways of doing research in the target language they will be working in to complete their proficiency projects.

Students taking part in these events were engaged and excited. The energy and enthusiasm surrounding these programs reflects Rondout Valley Central School District’s commitment to empowering students to explore their passions, push their limits, and succeed.
